About Us
Media Citizens launched in 2001 when the dot.com boom went bust. We took the view that if an idea is good enough, its time will come.
The company was founded by Alan Barclay and Jon Akass, who left established media careers in music, journalism, broadcasting and film to set up media projects on new interactive platforms. The company's goal was to establish a multimedia publishing platform to enable many more groups in society to reach an audience with online video publishing. That defined the three pronged company offer:

- 3. Media training
We work across the board from social projects and public sector contracts to commercial ventures and we bring the same attention to detail and focus on the end user to each piece of work. Eight years on and we're now an established digital communications agency with a growing client list and a practice in online marketing, web development, video production and accredited media skills education.
