Stolen Lives
Media Citizens developed an e-learning 'Game' promoting good citizenship in school and on the street for Stolen Lives - a wide-ranging anti-knife crime project funded jointly by local authorities and the Police Community Clubs of Great Britain.
The 'Game' features our trademark visual interface, interactive learning design and pop up video boxes providing a rich multimedia educational environment.
For those of you who wish to give it a go, there is also a viral video bonus for 'players' who achieve a good score.
We also created the Stolen Lives website and produced three of the films, working with young people on the scripts and the acting for two short drams and a documentary – see Hackney, Havering and Southwark.
Stolen Lives is now recommended for use as a knife crime and street awareness package in a national resource pack by NASUWT as it's an approach that fits well with the PSHE curriculum in schools.
It's innovative, but it's also tried and tested and it delivers results that can be measured - these online tools come with metrics so they can be used for surveys and for evaluation.
Media Citizens worked on the project as delivery partners with Safelink Resources.
